Angkor Wat & Bangkok Tour

We left manila last thursday around 10:30pm and reached bangkok at 1am. Waited till 4am before travelling to the border of thailand and cambodia. We hired a mini bus going there, it's a toyata hi ace commuter. Our driver's name is BJ. he's a thai & he speaks fair english. good thing his van was new. it's huge and comfortable so we were able to sleep the whole travel time.

Cambodia Trip

It took us about 4 hours before we reached the border. The people there were scary, they look like those we see in movies where there are many poor slaves lined up, all tired and walking fast. The place don't smell good. Anyway, we had to have our passports stamped at immigration before we could cross the border. After which we were brought to the mafia's taxi terminal via the free goverment shuttle. We hired 2 taxi's for $60 each. Before leaving we were warned that the road is bumpy. and indeed the whole 4 hours of that ride was very very very bumpy. Our heads banging here and there. It was an endless bumpy road with a desert like view.. but thank God when we finally reach siem reap. the road condition is better.

We arrived 12.30 at the green garden home where we stayed for 3 nights & 4 days. The guest house was good, the rooms are clean, big & air conditioning is good. Not only that, they have a very cozy pool area. that the moment we arrived we felt the need to dip after the long trip.

After which we had dinner at EXPRESS restaurant. In fairness their food was ok, very tasty. Their meal always comes with cucumber and tomato.

Next day is angkor wat day! The reason we came to cambodia. We purchased the 3-day tour pass which cost us $40 each. We went to angkor thom, the bayon temple, Ta Phrom, other small temples and most important of all is the Angkor wat temple.

All of the temples are amazingly beautiful. We felt like being transported to the ancient times.

That night we heard mass at a catholic church. The church was made of wood. Shoes inside the church is not allowed. there were no chairs, only matresses (banig) where we sat comfortably on the floor. Anyway,Contrary to what I thought that maybe only few goes to mass, it was well attended. There were french family, german, americans, indians but most of us who attended was filipinos. the priest is funny. We were still laughing on our way back to our place.

The following day we had a boat tour around the muddy river to see the floating houses, floating schools, floating basketball court. This tour didnt impress us coz we have that in the roxas blvd, aight? hahaha.

Later that afternoon we again went back to angkor wat to see more temples and finally trek the mountain to view the the whole angkor wat being lighted by the sunset. The weather was not very sunny so we didnt see the drama of the sunset. Oh well still it was a great experience to visit angkor wat.

Come Monday morning, it's time to leave the guest house. we would surely miss the food and the staff there.

They are very accomodating and friendly. Especially, Vhutti and the girl who always gives us hot water for our instant noodles. hehe.

Bangkok Trip

And so hello to the bumpy road again. this time it was twice bumpy. maybe becoz it rained the other day before we left. Anyhoo, we successfully arrived back to the border again safely. BJ fetch us again to bring us back to bangkok. We stayed at Omni Tower. It's a serviced apartment.

Tuesday, May 1 is officially shopping day for us!! wohoooo.. First stop, Gaysorn Mall. Then The center world and finally the Pratunam area (like divisoria). It wasnt that cheap to shop there as i expected coz their money is a peso and 40 cents in our money. I still find our bargains cheaper here. anyway, we bought some shirts, bags, la budha mask, antique frames, souvenir items etc.

The following day, BJ, our driver drove us for a quick tour at some of thailand's sacred temples. Quick becoz we need to check out at 1pm. our flight is scheduled at 1.30 am so we have to be at the airport that night.

After the tour, we headed back to the hotel to check out our things and leave it in the concierge then do a few more shopping. We went to MBK to buy those tamarinds and dilis. So shopping is over and we still have plenty of time before our flight so we went back center world and watched SPIDERMAN 3. Their cinema's are nice, seats are comfortable. We felt like we were just in greenbelt makati when we realized were still in thailand and we still have a plane to catch =) hehe. after the movie, we got our things from the hotel then off we go to the airport. We missed home already. We arrived manila at 5.30am.

3 trees

I just want to post and share this story that was forwarded to me.
This story inspires me and picks me when im feeling down and helpless.

Once there were three trees on a hill
in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and
dreams when the first tree said, "Someday I hope to
be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold,
silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with
intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty."

Then the second tree said, "Someday I
will be a mighty ship. I will take Kings and queens
across the waters and sail to the corners of the
world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the
strength of my hull."

Finally the third tree said, "I want
to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in
the forest. People will see me on top of the Hill
and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens
and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will
be the greatest tree of all time and people will
always remember me."

After a few years of praying that
their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen
came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree
he said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I
should be able to sell the wood to a Carpenter, "and
he began cutting it down. The tree was happy,
because he knew that the carpenter would make him
into a treasure chest.

At the second tree the woodsman said,
"This looks like a strong tree. I should be able to
sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was happy
because he knew he was on his way to becoming a
mighty ship.

When the woodsmen came upon the third
tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that
if they cut him down his dreams would not come true.
One of the Woodsmen said, "I don't need anything
special from my tree, I'll take this one," and he cut it down.

When the first tree arrived at the
carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals.
He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay.
This was not at all what he had prayed for.

The second tree was cut and made into
a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty
ship and carrying kings had come to an end.

The third tree was cut into large pieces, and left alone in the dark.

The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.

Then one day, a man and woman came to
the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in
the hay in the feed box that was made from the first
tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib
for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The
tree could feel the importance of this event and
knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.

Years later, a group of men got in the
fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them
was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on
the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't
think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The
men woke the sleeping man, and He stood and said
"Peace" and the Storm stopped. At this time, the
tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.

Finally, someone came and got the
third tree. It was carried through the streets as
the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When
they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree
and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill.
When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it
was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill
and be as close to God as was possible, because
Jesus had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that when
things don't seem to be going your way, always know
that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust
in Him, God will give you great gifts.

Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined.

We don't always know what God's plans
are for us. We just know that His ways are not our
ways, but His ways are always best.

After 16 months..my blog's back. I stopped blogging for a year and 4 coz i dont feel like writing. Either i was busy with work, or there's really nothing BIG to blog about. Lovey and I are doing good. still just the two of us. Enjoying each other at home. I cook, he does the laundry, I prepare the table, he do the dishes, I choose our grocery items, he pays! FAIR -eh? hehehe. Typical week for us is this: Weekdays, we go to work. During saturdays, we go to the mall, do our grocery, shopping, eat out, watch movie sometimes (we rarely watch in cinemas anymore since there's dvds). And on sundays, we hear mass at 9am. have brunch, then after lunch he's off to meet and play with his badminton frens. while im left alone at home watching tv or dvd series. Our not so typical week will includes meeting frens after ofc, weddings on weekends and out of town trips.

Last year our First year wedding anniversary was spent in Cebu. We stayed in Crown regency suite in lapu lapu. Visited churches, tourist spots, cebu malls, shangrila etc.

This year we might just spend it in tagaytay. Im thinking of the boutique "i lust room" or "i dream". Yes, that's right I usually do the planning for our trips and dinner dates. That's simply not loveys forte..hehe. We are goin on low budget on our anniversary bcoz we are flying to bangkok and siem reap,cambodia next week with my friends. this is going to be our first international flight together with frens and lovey. wooohoooo! From bangkok airport we would go straight first to cambodia. im so excited to get the taste of adventure in cambodia and see the famous angkor wat. we are going to spend 3 days there then we'll head back to bangkok for some tour and shopping for another 3 days. Ahhh..LIFE!

Lately, I've been feeling like a culinary expert. I try cooking new foods i learned in the sept issue of foods mag. Nakaka tuwa lhat gusto ko lutuin! hehehe. to start off, i cooked prawns ala dampa. And it tasted really good. I was surprised! my potential pala ko! Just look at the mouth watering picture below. yummm.!

This is very easy to cook. I forgot to bring the magazine with me but i kinda memorized it.

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo of cleaned tiger prawns
2 cups sprite
2 tablespoon oil
3 tablespoon butter (divided)
3 tablespoons chopped onions
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 small ginger chopped
3 tablespoon tomato ketchup
3 tablespoon sugar
1 table spoon cornstarch mix to
2 tablespoon water

1. Marinate prawns (avoid white prawn, it sogs quickly)in sprite/ 7-up for 30 minutes. Remove Prawns and reserve marinate.

2. In a large skillet, heat oil and 1 tablespoon butter

3. Saute onions, garlic and ginger.

4. Add prawns. turn the prawns as it turns to orange.

5. Add the sprite marinate, ketchup, sugar, salt and pepper. then simmer for 5 mins.

6. Add cornstarch mixture let it simmer until sauce thickens.

7.Turn off stove, then belnd in 2 table spoon butter to prawns.

8. serve with chopped spring onion.

Of course, I served it with dessert. which i learned from the mag also.

just put some chocolate syrup in a plate, add scoops of vanilla ice cream then add 2 dewberry biscuits or any biscuits of your choice and whoalllahh biscuit ala mode!

On Bonding and Farewell

Last Sunday, My mom and my 2 lil bros went back abroad already. They came here to grace our wedding and have a short vacation. As always goodbyes at d airport are painful. Seeing them go..knowing that you're not going to see them after 4 long years..just hurts..
I had a lot of regrets that i wasnt able to do when they were here.

1.) I wasnt able to bring them to boracay which i promised them. Iwasnt able to keep my promise because I couldn't take another leave in the ofc after the leave i took for the wedding and honeymoon. I hope the next time they're here i will be able to bring them there.

2.) Another regret was not spending time with them on weekdays. simply becoz i have work. but i did go home on weekends leaving jim home alone.

3.) We didn't had a lot of pictures during our wedding. I was so pre occupied during the event greeting guest. **sigh**

4.) I wasn't able to treat them in a fine resto. I was broke coping with the wedding expenses that I incurred. **sigh**

But despite all these regrets, im happy to have done these things to them:

1.) Spend quality time on weekends.

2.) Watch Movie with them.

3.) Have spa at suriya with my mom.

4.) Go to tagaytay with them.

5.) Buy her a good hair iron and other stuffs.

6.) Was able to give her the parents album and raw video as a remembrance.

7.) Go to enchanted kingdom with them. i hope i get a little richer so that next time i could bring them to disney HK.=P

That's how I love them. Am i sweet or what? Hehehee
Kidding aside I am going to miss them.

This pay day made lambing to lovey to buy me new sandals. i told him C&k's sale. When we got in the store, i couldn't find any pair that i like in the sale shelf. What caught my heart was this new arrival pair that is only 10 off. couldnt wait for the next sale so there goes my new charles and keith pair. i love them. they're so pretty.

Church: San Agustin Church, Intramuros
Rating: 9.5

Pros:
This is the Church of my dreams. An old historical church with long aisle and beautiful interiors. Staffs are easy to deal with and pleasant. They are clear with their rules and regulations.

Cons:
Quite pricey and you have to pay extra charge for the electricity, another for the balcony and another for the ruins, which we didn’t bother to avail except for the electricity fee =)

Flowers: Ka- Bloom
Rating: 10++

Pros:
I have nothing but good words for this supplier. They delivered the flowers on time and exceeded my expectation on all of the flowers especially with my bouquet. My cymbidium bouquet was very pretty and fresh. Simply love it.

Cons:
None

Reception: Villa Immaculada
Rating: 9.5

Pros:
The package we got was reasonable. The inclusions are not bad so we didn’t bother to alter. The arrangements and flowers were nice. Food according to many guest are delectable.

Cons:
Sound system is not that good. We had to re-take thrice for our duets song number because they were having difficulty removing the voice in multiplex.
Jim’s relatives thinks that they did not give all the left over foods.

Bride’s Gown: Merlene Marcelo
Rating: 10++

Pros:
I loved my designers work. At first I thought I thought I couldn’t afford her but when I visited her shop and laid my budget on her, she agreed to do it. I was expecting lesser bead works on my gown since my budget is low but when I saw it grabe ang bigat and dami pa din beads especially the back part of my gown. She gave me 2 assistants on the day of my wedding. The assistants waited patiently while I’m having my pictorials and helped me dress up. A lot of guest was telling me how nice my gown was.

Cons:
My designer has a lot of out of the country clients so there’s less personal face to face interaction between us..

Entourage gowns : Merlene Marcelo
Rating: 8

Pros:
All the entourage gowns turned out ok. They looked lovely during the wedding.

Cons:
It didn’t surprise me cguro kc it was my design and they just followed it. Di rin mukhang super happy mge entou ko with it pero they just carried it well. Nag design design lng kc ako..hehe. They have limited style to show and its in black and white parang pare pareho so I can’t really picture the beauty.

Grooms Barong: Merlene Marcelo
Rating: 10++

Pros:
After we went to get jim’s barong we went to a fastfood resto near my designers shop and one of the customer who looks like a politician/ businessman approached jim and asked where we had it made. In the church and reception dami din daw nag tatanong ky hubby kc unique and ganda nun inner shirt di na kylangan I tuck. Jim was very happy with it.

Cons:
None

PhotoVideo: John Aguas
Rating: 10++

Pros:
John Aguas is very reasonable and super adorable that’s why we got him. Made us feel comfortable during the prenups. He was at the hotel very early buti nlng nk ligo nko pero di pko nk robe nag start n sya and he stayed with us still shooting hangang sa hotel after the reception. His staffs are all mabait too especially the back up photographer. They all made me feel beautiful in every shot. They were always telling me how pretty I am and that my pics can pass the metro mags..charing! Nag enjoy din mga guest sa prenup slide nmin prepared by john.

Cons:
They were not able to take pictures of my groom because my hotel is in makati and his is at westin but that’s not their fault.

Bride’s Hotel Preps: Fraser Place
Rating: 10+++

Pros:
I love love love fraser place a lot. It has the cozy feeling that you’re just in your own house. The whole place is spacious. It has its own living room, kitchen with complete appliance, laundry rooms, dining, 1 master bedroom which has its own Jacuzzi, multi point shower large closets and a guest room. What made me choose this place is the ample space for everybody to move around (my family and all the suppliers).

Cons:
Quite Pricey. Price can be compared to the price of a suite room in a hotel the difference is the space.

Bride’s HMU : Jason Ramos
Rating: 10++

Pros:

Initially I got the Ross Regala for my HMU but I was not very comfortable with him during our THMU. Although, I think he’s good and a nice person. I like the way Jason does his make up very natural looking look. Parang nagiging flawless and artista coz he works with some GMA & ABS_CBN’s artist. What I like most about Jason is when he tells me my kamukha ako artista..hehe mahilig ako mag pabola eh.hehe. kidding aside it makes me feel good. It was a hard decision I made in choosing between Ross and Jason. I always confide with trina ni ken (co-w@wies ). She asked me to weigh the pros and cons and as I did bias nman ako coz I really like Jason kinakabahan lng ako with the hair coz when we had our hair trial I didn’t like it. Given this I still continued with Jason. Grabe naloka si jim sa arte ko sa hair and makeup. Hehe.

On the day of my wedding, maaga dumating si Jason. Cleared my face with Evian and started working. When I was still in my bath robe my hair was still down para maiba lng daw daw..then afterwards nun bihis na ko ng gown he pulled my hair up and sobrang bilis lng tapos na. Everybody was telling me how pretty I am during the wedding. Even Jim’s friend which I just met that day told jim how pretty his wife is..naks! Jason was with me in the car and stayed till reception to give me retouches. Even change the color of my lipstick during the reception. Super galing! Thanks to trina and Noreen who introduced me to Jason.
By the way Jason also did my pre nup MU.

Cons:
His assistant who did my mom and sisters HMU was terrible. My mom was very problematic on her looks. Na bad trip daw sya sa make up nya pati sis ko.

Invitations & souvenirs: Printed Matter
Rating: 10++

Pros:
Our guest finds our invites and souvenir very pretty, unique and coordinated. I learned printed matter thru W@W . Got my inspiration from Aggie’s =) Mabilis din gumawa ang printed matter. 1 week lng tapos na! Super dali din kausap ni phoebe and kerwin. Love my invites talaga.

Cons:
None

Shoes: Lila Almario
Rating: 10++

Pros:
I just bought my lila almario shoes on sale. I’m just after the height and the comfort and disregarded the design coz anyway merlene covered it with beads na terno sa gown ko. I wore a 3 inch heel and di namn masyado sumakit paa ko at di ako nasugatan. Di lng ako sanay sa heels kya mejo nangangawit lng ako.
Best buy shoes!

Rings: Venice Jewelers

Pros:

We just wanted a plain white gold ring so we just bought at the mall. We got them on sale also.

Pros:
These girls always do follow-ups on how my preps are doing and insist on having meetings. They got in d hotel early and checked all my stuffs. If somebody needs me they attend to it para di nko mag isip pa. Almost everything fell into place and according to schedule so di nman kme nag ka problem at di sila masyado pagod.

Cons:
Isa lng naiwan sakin sa hotel. It was late when we found out kylangan pala ng flowers and fruits for the offering. They should’ve been the one na bumili nlng instead of asking my aunt na nun pa nman..kawawa napagod talga tita ko..I felt na dpat sila nlng bumili somewhere at humingi nlng ng pera.

Jim and I had a very good time during our wedding. It may not be a grand one but for us it was simply perfect and beautiful. A lot of guest came to us after the reception and told us how great our wedding was. They loved every detail and I just feel so proud hearing all the good feedbacks. I really could have not done it without the help of friends and W@wies ofcourse.

To all the w@wies thank you so much for all the suggestions comments and ideas you shared with me especially to mrs. Schmucks, Dorothy, aggie, ivee ni rhein, grace, lea ni francis lahat ng nsa blog ko madami ako natutunan sa inyong lahat!na addict ako sa inyo…hehe. Goodluck to everyone. I’m pretty sure that all w@wie wedding are truly unique and beautiful.

OMG 3 days to go and still not relaxin..whew! i will finish everything today. and that's it! finish or not finish pass your paper na to frens and coord!!!hahahahah!
i must pamper my tomorow together with my mom to have a little bonding time before i get married then friday we shall check in already and i'll have a good rest! this is it wish me luck and the weather (ughhh)!

Oh yes gurlz! its july and next saturday is THE DAY! Everyones keeps tellin me "THIS IS IT!" makes me panic!!!hahahaha! Given a year to prepare, i'm still not done with the details! Told my coord before that "pfftt by the month of may i'll be sitting pretty juz waiting for the day!" ang yabang ko ayan tuloy 1 wik nlng madami pa din ako gagawin over the weekends..I really hope matapos ko man lng everything come wednesday so that on thursday i could have my massage at suriya na! but for now stress is everwhere in my face..minsan ang sakit na ng ulo ko kakaisip ano pa na miss out ko. Let go anne let go!

So anyways, i'll be on-leave starting next week coz madami pa ko kylangan gawin at beauty rest na din. The following week honeymoon time then the last wik of leave will be spent fixing the house and other post wedding stuffs. 3 weeks! when I get back i promise to give u kwento and hopefully with pictures na. yahooo cge na nga THIS IS IT! mwah mwah mwah!

I've been visiting lila almario's store in glorieta for the NTH time. it was just last wednesday that i found the perfect size and the perfect 3-inch heel required by merlene. I'm not used to wearing that very high heels kya mega practice ako that night even if antok n antok na ko..hehe. would u beliv suot ko un shus sa pag tulog..hahaha..the next morning as i was preparing around my house preparing for work suot ko pa din.then when im about to leave the house i removed it and wore my usual shoes na walang heel..what a relief!!whew ang hirap ng maliit! anyways i dropped the shoes off to merlene's na para ma cover na nila at malagyan ng beadworx. excited nko makita sya uli para ma practice ko uli.. im nervous bout wearin them on the day of the wedding especially pag nag lakad nko sa church where lhat ng focus na sakin..oh my ..i rily hope di ako ma out balance or ma trip. hehee!

Yipeee..in about some hours from now..mom will be finally ariving together wid my two siblings! im so happy about this that i could not exactly describe my feelings. I havent seen my mom..in what?..hmmm 6 years? i almost gaved up to the thought that she actually couldnt attend to my wedding..when we moved our wedding just for her to be there. Our wedding was initially may 7 but due to the kids on going final exams they couldnt make it and so we moved it..that is how important it is for me for my mom to be there on my big day. She's very special to me! She always tells me that im a very loving and responsible daughter which makes me proud of my self. We definitely have a lot of catching up to do with the wedding..she dont have a gown yet and my little bros still dont have their barongs. with 18 days to go this'll be a marathon of things an OC OC--han bride shud still accomplish:

*Buy shoes and give to merlenes.
*Buy mom's gown, 2 barong set, their shus.
*Finish place cards.
*Wrap ento gift.
*Never ending RSVP follow - up.
*Meet wid impromptu and our hosts to discuss program on friday night.

This afternoon got 2 cds from john aguas' wife. 1 cd containing the raw photos and the other cd is an avp slide from our pre nup..john was kind enough to do one for us. Watching the clip almost made me cry. ang ganda nun song pero di ko alam ang title nun first one.hehe.we'll show it at the reception. matutuwa ang guest nmin cgurado..hehe. i just hope di pa gasgas un cd coz for sure i'll be watching it over and over at home!hehe..cant get enuf of what we did in our pre nups!better yet i'll produce a lot of copies nlng at home..hehe!

Last saturday, we had our pre nups with john aguas. With us is my friend jo-anne who acted as our director/backup photog and jason as my MUA/PA..hehe! On our way to the location (naks location)madilim at nag babadya ang ulap. told myself Oh-my kakaibang eksena gagawin natin malamang the title wud be " basa sa ulan part 2" yahahahaa..i thought this wud be a challenge for john to think of a creative way to shoot in the rain. Fortunately, nakisama ang ulan at biglang umaraw. The place was sooo beautiful. Despite the unpredictable weird weather, i think it was perfect. Hindi mainit and timpla ng araw. I felt like i was in encantadia seeing the leaves of the fire tree fall. feeling ko ako si jennilyn at si jim si mark herras..wahahaha..We had soo much fun shooting..kung sino sino ng artista ang nkita nila samin..wala daw sinabi si john loyd at bea samin.hehehee si john aguas humiga na sa daan para lng makuha un angle nmin..wala ko masabi ky john aguas. We were about to finish the pictorial tpos biglang kumulog..sabi nmin pack up na bka padating na si barakuda!hehe darna nman!..wheew hirap pala maging artista..nakaka gutom..

after the shoot we had dinner at Jaymis(formerly dencios) at the fort. sabi nun katabi nmin table bka daw asawa ni dencios si jaymi..wahahahha sumakit tyan nmin kakatawa..kwela si jason at jo.

Had our second fitting last tuesday. It feels good to see all my closest friends together supporting this important event in my life. forgot to inform my sis though..sori.

Ofcors, ako din nag fit! i couldnt contain my feelings when i saw my gown..it was even more beautiful as expected. I especially love the details of my back. The mananahi and merlene said tumaba ako mejo masikip na un gown but it still fits..o db can u beliv that tumaba na daw ako sa lagay n yun! i dont think soo...hehe. Unlike other brides my goal is the opposite. Need to hurry getting some more weight. Ako pa nman yun tipong ang lakas kumain pero wala effect.hehe.

Side Kwento: Over the past few days, lovey and i have been arguing a lot on every smallest detail on the wedding. I guess we're just stressed out. So, One time when jim was panicking on the never ceasing increase of our guest list..I told him not to worry too much, told him that "matatapos din to lovey, what matters is ikakasal tyo" na toucj ako sa sinabi ko..hehe. actually i also said that to myself. From now on i'll try to let go little by little as D day finally approach.

Last saturday, I allowed myself 1 guilt-free Trial make up even though wala nman occasion and pupuntahan.hehe..although my fiesta sa barangay nmin pwede ako humabol ng sta.cruzan...weheheheh! anyway, jason ramos did my MU.. He's actually a friend of a friend of a friend..gets? she's also W@wie trina ni ken's MU (thanks to trina) . He teaches facial care, make up application and fashion ek ek at John RObert Powers and does some celebrity make up as side line..most of the time he's busy with his taping at GMA kya swerte lng na nag ka time sya to do a trial with me. For a gay may itchura sya..i mean di sya pangit na bading..hawig nya si polo raveles..hahaha..first tinignan nya mukha ko then nag timpla ng make up. after that sinukat sukat na nya mukha ko at ang mga kanto ng mukha ko tag apat na kanto daw! then he started to do his worxs..haay grabe nakaka ngalay!!sakit ng batok ko! pero anyhow feeling ko artista ko na ni mamake- up. si lovey ayun nsa background doing some funny face!arte ko daw my pa trial trial pa sa bahay lng namn daw. anyway, he explained to me kung ano hair ang bagay sa wedding! dpat daw malinis..di daw pwede ilugay ang hair kc lalo hahaba face ko at i tis nya konti para i wud look taller daw. Actually he didnt do my hair yet. matagal daw kc un..so sa picture eh tinaas lng nmin hair ko for the sake lng. pinag tube nya din ako para maturuan ng posture ever!o db para n rin ako nag enroll for a day sa john robert..hehehe!As u can see din makapal pa kilay ko kc di nya nadala un gunting nya. so nex time nlng lhat..sa pictorial he'll be there all through out to retouch me and H2b. I'm not sure if gumanda ko sa trial ko na to coz h2b said ganun din daw walang nag bago!!but over-all mukhang ok si jason. haay comment pls..aside sa kilay and hair ofcors kc di nya talga inayos yun.

Yesterday we went to rustan to have our invites addressed and Finally met the famous lincoln. We submitted them at lunch and by 6pm ok na. He does really have a fine writing. He told me dami daw nagandahan sa invitation nmin.

We took a leave from work last week to attend the canonical interview. The priest who's supposed to make the interview was no where to find so they asked the senior priest to administer it for the 3 couple including us. all the while this senior priest was telling us.."di ko na to trabaho eh" (while browsing our folders over and over)hehehe.

Yey..we've accomplished a lot

These are the things that we have accomplished during the long weekend:
1. Mock invites by printed matter. I'm so satisfied with the way our invite turn out to be. I showed it to some friends and they love it too. we'll be getting the final ones this coming saturday.

2. We were able to buy gifts for the principal sponsors na at crabtree & evelyn store at robinson's place. It's a shell shaped big soap. Smells really good di masyado strong and its good on the skin pa daw since it has jojoba oil.

What made me buy?

* The 15 % OFF. They're not on sale but since i'm buying in bulk daw she can give me 15% off.

** The Ribbon. Saw their ribbons. They have pink and green crabtree and evelyn ribbon! love the ribbong. it looks elegant.

*** The packaging. They showed me how they would wrap all the gifts aside from the gift wrap with huge ribbons wrapped in the gift they would palce it in a paper bag and add ribbon again! im very happy with this coz we dont have to bother wrapping the principal sponsors gift now.hehe!

**** The brand ofcourse. 2 thousand nlng daw and i'll be a VIP member na daw in their shop.

***** Lastly is their freebie. for every 3,000 worth we get a bag. we were able to get 2 bags. the bag is very lovely. we'll be giving them as parents gift (for the 2 moms)..dad's gift, entourage gift and souvenir nlng.

we had our marriage counseling and family planning seminar at manila city hall last wedesday. I never prepared for it coz i thought it'll be just pure talk talk & talk. I shouldhv made my self ready pala for the questions.the speaker asked us this particular question that made my face red.

speaker: "is there something that u dont like about ur partner? you may tell it now "
meeh: (saying to my self: oh no! pls lovey dont say anything bad)

and then there jim started sharing the attitude he wants me to get rid.

Jim: minsan po di simple gus2 nya (meaning i'm sosyal!) pag gus2 nya un isang bagay dpat masunod (reasonable nman ako).

Speaker: O anne tama ba yun?

meeh: opo pero reasonable nman ako sa lhat ng bagay (charing)

Speaker: O how bout d others? (3 more couples were in the room)

they have nothing to say daw (waaaahhh ako lng?)

anyway, bumawi nman jim after that question he said that..

Jim: sa kanya ko po nkita lhat ng qualities na gus2 ko makasama habang buhay! (yiiiii touched!)

after the seminar we had our oath taking for the license. we'll be getting it on may 2.

Saturday, we went to PRINTED matter. although i was all set for the mock invite with unifair, i was not contented at all. i felt deep within that i wanted a lot of colors with our invitation. Unifair cant do it bcoz of the limited paper they have accdg. to erwin. When saw aggies invites, i didnt have second thoughts but go and visit printed matter. i was with lala, bryan and my sister katrina. phoebe was d one I talked to and she's reaaly nice..she's a pretty chinese woman. i showed her the style i want and she said: "that's nice very cute" then after that is the price ofcors.
we got it really cheap. we had 2 pcs invite small sized (laminated)P20.00, RSVP card P5.00, sticker seal P4.00, sticker label P10.00 and their newest arrival of envelopes translucent green P15.00.

for a total of= 54.00! im so happy! we ordered for a 102 pcs.

here is the style of our invites. thanks to aggie, i got exactly want i wanted also from this site.

we paid 500 for the layout and another 120 for the first mock invite that we'll be getting on saturday! they said after we finalize things on sat our invites will be ready within a week..that was the fastest i've ever heard. they could slow down daw if i want...hehe!! i'll post the pics nex wik

Another Time Out from the Preps

As you can see, its as usual not another productive weekend for our preps. we had our company outing at montemar beach in bataan. My initial plan was to hide from the sun coz im afraid that i myt get darker again. When i saw the place, i wasnt able to resist it. sobrang init i felt the need to dip into the waters. mega sunblock nlng ako..hhehe. Luz, an ofcmate asked me to go with them for the island hopping but i refused..sabi ko "ang init init iitim ako" few minutes after there i go nsa beach na ako with lovey..hehe sabi nya iitim pala ha..ang itim ko nahhh huhu bka sabihin nila sa wedding bkit my nag lalakad na gown!!!hahahah!

anyhoo, on wednesday we're on leave.we'll be attending a family seminar thing at d city hall and at the same time apply for our marriage license. after that we'll be going to Unifair to settle the look of our invites once and for all. long way to go!

Last week, was my pasaway sister's graduation
Finally!4 years nlng!i'm so happy for my mom.yeheey!!!

i went home to pampanga to attend and also to get my church requirements na rin. when i went to the church to get my baptismal certificate, they asked me to write my name and bday in a notepad. The staff went looking for it and told me i have my name there but its the birthday doesnt match! Crap, i have to fix it pa and get affidavit of discrepancy at the municipal hall where i was born..ang layo kya nun munisipyo where i was born from our place now. graduation will be starting in an hour i have to do my sisters HMU pa!O db? parang magaling. highschool grad lng nman kc so I told her ako nlng wag na pa parlor. So in short i have to fix the problem the next day. I had loads of work waiting for me at the ofc but I had to accomplish it na coz our canonical interview is getting nearer. we have to submit that together with our marriage license na. Aside from that, lovey texted me that finally after all the posponed pamamanhikan pwede na daw i push through that coming saturday..I told my relatives na tuloy na pamamanhikan and told me wag n rin pumasok ng friday coz we have to prepare pa!!if only i could just send my spirit at work and let her do the job..haay bhala n si batman sa monday. i'll catch up nlng.

so that, thursday after waiting from offices to offices..i was able to get my baptismal at san agustin (pampanga). Next stop, my confirmation. The secretary from the st.jude was very friendly. we had this 30 min conversation.

secretary: san ako kakasal and how much un fee?
meeh: sa san agustin manila po. 18,500.
secretary: grabe ang mahal!! (he almost fell into his chair no joke!haha)
meeh: ganun po tlaga sa maynila mahal magpakasal.hehe!
secretary: dito samin 2 thousand lng. kung gus2 mo pati sa entourage flowers at pagagandahin church 5 thousand!pero grabe ha 18,500!hmmm...(while folding the paper and inserting it to the envelope)lam mo last day n nmin ng parochial priest dito. (prang naiiyak).
meeh: ay ganun po.bkt po pati kyo?
secretary: parang shempre change of administration.
meeh: ahh ok.buti po at naabutan ko p po kyo.
secretary: eto na certificate..gudluck sa kasal nyo ha
meeh: thank u po..mag kano po ito?
secretary: pabayaan mo na..wag mo n bayaran
meeh: wow, talga po..ang bait nyo nman po..sige salamat po uli.

Saturday, pamamanhikan day at last! lovey and his whole family and relatives went all the way to pampanga for this..they were about 15 plus 5 kids..full support..dami spokes person ni lovey. i wasnt able to take much pictures of it kc nahiya ko sa mga in laws bka sabihin ma-picture ako..hehe..well gusto ko lng i document lahat...right? pati un fud na madami di ko nakuhanan..but well kht papano i got to take some shots. masaya nman un pamamanhikan. here are some of it:

Last wednesday, we had a contract signing and paid our deposit and advance payment to the condo where lovey and I will stay after the wedding. It's a new 4-storey building exactly right beside the apartment i'm renting right now. It'll be ready for occupancy on the 1st wik of april and to avoid double rent payment, i'll be moving out of the old apartment and move in right next to it. (3 months ago i lived just across the street where i am now)House hopping! hehehee!i'm excited to move in sa flat nmin ni lovey..masosolo ko muna un house before sya mag move in after ng wedding!yeyYY!haaay..last 3 months as an independent living woman!

back to business...After all the laidback mood lovey and I have every weekends..i finally came to my senses that we only have 3 months & 3 weeks to go!! Whoaa!! We still have a lot to strike on our wedding checklist. Sooo, I told my lovey with a demanding tone (hehe) that starting this coming Saturday, we should make use of our weekend wisely by paying attention to our wedding preps!! And so, for this Saturday we promise to be productive. Ajaah!!=P

heart shape measuring spoon but i'll just find an alternative shape. I
would like it also to be engraved with our names on it..whachuthink? is this
feasible?

missallete, paper for the missalette, lighters, colored glue sticks, & non-
stick pan.

This afternoon i made a quite impulsive but another practical choice on my HMU. I cant spend too much for it coz my lovey would be very dissapointed with me if I go beyond my budget. Oh Men..! they cant seem to understand why make up is important to us and why HMU is expensive. I was eyeing between eddie and ross. They have almost the same rates but the diff is im more comfy with the way ross deal with me so I booked Ross Regala. Our photographer had already worked with ross a lot of times and said ross is "reasonable" and a pro. I read a lot of good feedbacks on his work too and that's good enough for me to know. I'll be having my trial with ross on my pre-nup day with john. God bless America! hahaha!

Series Of Unfortunate Events

For the Nth time, I had another one of those wedding nightmares again. This time it got even worst. In my dream,I was hysterical my whole wedding day coz I didnt have make up on daw. can't believe my make up artist ross regala was in bulacan daw and that he cant make it because of an emergency so tried calling Eddie Bruan to do my last minute make up but unfortunately he was booked and he's out of the country too. Im doomed! I have 15 mins daw to catch up at the church. Ofcourse I didnt make it on time..they started without me..huhuhu. They were already at the middle of the ceremony..I have to be there so eventhough i Look exhausted, I entered the church and before I even get to sit beside my lovey guess what?TOINK!! I got TRIPPED!!waaaaaaaaaaahhhH!! I was tryin to calm my self when jim whispered and said "DI DUMATING MGA PHOTOGRAPHERS NATIN" I couldnt scream bcoz I was inside the church but I said to myself...can somebody just shoot me...wuhuhuhu! Nightmare didnt end there, during the reception..malamig daw lahat ng fud!!no waiter or whatever...I can't believe what was happening..i wished that it was all a bad dream but as i looked at everbodys watch its really the 9th of july..My wedding day was a total wreck! I blamed myself for not getting a coordinator for my wedding. Then I woke up and got relieved! ayoko na ng ganung dreams!

Last year aside from booking the church and tamayos catering in intramuros we were into deciding who'll do our pvc. I was all set to get john ong, matiyaga kc to follow up and ok din works nya from what i saw in one of his exhibit at the enterprise but an email got in d way, I received a quotation via email from mr. john aguas. I saw john's work over the net and also heard a lot of good feedbacks about him..so i gave it a shot and scheduled an appointment with him at seattle's paseo mkt. I felt at ease talking with him. I think he's super nice..di nkk ilang and aside from that I also liked the package he offered me. same price with john mateos ong but the diff is wala kc included na pre nup si john ong ska parents album so even though i want to get jong I still opted for john aguas for practical reasons. I feel they have both the passion for photography naman so khit sino sa kanila would be fine. I booked John A right then and there na. Bka kc my mk kuha pa ng date nmin. Gotta be aggresive..no regrets im happy with john A..

It was also late last dec in pampanga that we were able to order our rings at venice jewellers. We found what we both like plain simple white gold 18k. The lady in the store said we could get our rings by the end of january..but we can't find time to go to pampanga and so it was only last week that we got it finally! we had it engraved too. January, I finally decided to have merlene marcelo do my gown and my entourage gown. I told merlene that i just wanted a simple light champagne strapless gown that will make me look like a princess...wink wink! didnt show any magazine or sumthing.. then from there she handed me her sketch..Brilliant! she drew exactly what I wanted. Merlene made me take home some of her artworks so I have time to think what artwork would suit me. I went back to her shop after some days then showed her what i chose..My artwork will have some touch of pink embroidery on it.

I had my first fitting last feb. 03, thursday. That was quick! Jim was with me at merlene's but he was asked by the mananahi to step out of the room because of some old "pamahiin". I thought wala nman mawawala if we follow that belief. anyhowdy, when i put on my gown i felt diffrent..i just cant believe im really getting married! wohoooo! my gown was so byutiiiifullll, i felt like a princess! nyahahaha! amazing... sadly i failed to bring my cam..so I have to settle with my cam fon. grrrrrr!!

5th of feb we had our pre cana seminar at san agustin. There were a total of 12 couples who attended the seminar. The speaker was a religion teacher at st.pauls. At the seminar she just let us recall the 7 sacraments and gave us pointers what can make our marriage last..then they gaved us jollibee brkfast then group activity then that's it. Few hours after the seminar...we had a fight. Effective seminar huh..wahahahaha. But I love my lovey, we patch up things easily.

This marks my first blog post. Had I known blogspot last year i would have started earlier and now we barely have 4 more months to go before the big day but as they say its never too late to start blogging =). to start off let me intro myself..ehem, my name is anne 25 and my H2b's name is jimmy is 39. Yep that's Quite a gap..but it's not physically obvious so hu cares besides age doesnt really matter. Jimmy is my first and last ever longest, serious and mature bf as i may say while Im his believe it or not first gf..(you may ask his family, friends if u want). It took us some time to have our term of endearment coz jimmy finds it rather "funny" to have one at d beginning of our relationship but as time goes on..i can't remember excatly how it began...hmmm, but i think it was thru text msg that jim called me love..so i ride on it right away =) and as we played over calling love one another.. LOVE had been reformed to "LOVEY". I'm guessing it'll be mommy lovey and duddy lovey when we have our little angel already...but for now,first things first...wedding preppys first. a lot of first words for my first blog post huh? =)
